Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation's (NMC's) private bus

Crackdown on rash bikers

NAGPUR:

Setting a trap from 5.30 am on Sunday, the city traffic police nabbed 12 bikers near Futala Talao at around 9 am for driving

rashly and endangering others on the road. This group of motorcycle 'enthusiasts' had made it a habit of showing off their

dangerous motorcycling skills, and sometimes indulging in eve-teasing on this stretch favoured by morning

walkers.
 

Major I-T raid on business house

NAGPUR: Acting against one of the biggest business houses of the region, the Income Tax department here

raided the premises of Nairsons group, suspecting massive tax evasion.
 
The group has interests in a slew of

sales were only a little more than any other day. In fact, compared to last year, gold purchases dipped by over 25% this

year. The saving grace was good demand from southern states and a new trend of buying gold on the auspicious day in the

north, which helped prevent a bigger dip in sales, feel experts.
